MSW/MLIS Degree Requirements

Candidates for this dual degree must meet the following requirements:

• Total of 78 semester hours required for these two degrees
• All requirements in the combined-degree program must be completed within six years
• A minimum of 30 semester hours must be taken in the School of Information Studies
• A minimum of 48 semester hours must be taken in the School of Social Work

This program is not open to students who already have earned a Master of Library and Information Science or a Master of Social Work.
