Doris K. and Jay W. Christopher Chair in Business Ethics

The Christopher Chair in Business Ethics was established in 2002 by Doris and Jay Christopher. The Christopher Chair is a position for a visiting scholar focusing on the examination of ethical business practices. The Christopher Chair reflects the Brennan School’s continuing commitment to preparing business leaders to make a difference in their communities and around the world.

Elizabeth W. Collier, PhD

Elizabeth W. Collier, PhD, is a professor of business ethics and a tenured member of the faculty at Dominican University. She serves as the secretary of the North American Chapter of the United Nations Principles of Responsible Management Education and was on the Steering Committee that established the Chapter in January 2016. She serves as an editor of the Journal of Religion and Business Ethics and is on the advisory board of the Archdiocese of Chicago's Office of Immigrant Affairs and Immigration Education. Professor Collier recently co-edited and contributed to Religious and Ethical Perspectives on Global Migration (2014) and co-authored Good Business: Catholic Social Teaching at Work in the Marketplace (2014). She holds a PhD in theological ethics from Loyola University Chicago.

John and Jeanne Rowe Distinguished Professorship

The Rowe Distinguished Professorship recognizes an outstanding faculty member at the Brennan School of Business who has exemplified superior continuous contributions in the areas of teaching, research, and service. The recipient is expected to continue to be a great teacher, an engaged—and intellectually engaging—colleague, a team player, and a facilitator of others’ work; among others.

Lisa Amoroso, PhD

Lisa Amoroso, PhD, is a professor of management at Dominican University. Her research on diversity education, social identity, status hierarchies, and student learning has been published in variety of journals including Group Dynamics, Psychological Inquiry and Journal of Management Education. She is the co-author with Charles Ragin of Constructing Social Research (SAGE Publications). She serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Management Education. Amoroso received the Brennan Excellence in Teaching Award and Roosevelt University’s Excellence in Teaching Award. She serves as the faculty lead for the business school’s diversity and equity initiatives. She also works to reduce violence as certified workshop leader and board member for IMPACT Chicago, an empowerment-based self-defense non-profit. She completed her PhD in a joint program in sociology and organization behavior at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
