Admission Requirements

  • Completed Application for admission
  • Personal Statement explaining your personal and professional goals*
  • Current resume, please include a list of volunteer experiences with dates, organization and description of volunteer work
  • Official transcripts documenting a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and an official transcript from each college attended
  • Recommended that a minimum of 3.0 grade point average is required for general admission
  • Two letters of recommendation: at least on letter from an academic reference and one from a professional reference
  • All applicants must have ACEND-Accredited Didactic Program in Nutrition and Dietetics (DPD) coursework completed
  • DPD verification statement or Declaration of Intent statement
  • Official GRE scores (Dominican University institution code for the GRE is 6297) - PLEASE NOTE: GRE is not required for Fall 2017 applicants, but is required for Fall 2018 applications.
  • Non-refundable application fee of $25

Admission Review

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis with a priority application deadline of June 1, 2017 for the Fall 2017 cohort.

Please explain your reasons for pursuing a graduate degree from Dominican University, your interests in dietetics, short and long-term career goals and what contributions you would make to the field. Please share how your background, experience, interest and values, when combined with the MS degree and supervised practice will help you pursue your goals successfully.
