Academic Services

The Academic Enrichment Center (AEC), located on the lower level of Parmer Hall, includes the Academic Resource Center, the Center for Career Development, and International Programs. Eventually the AEC will be expanded to include an office of internships and an office to help students applying for graduate school and post-baccalaureate opportunities such as graduate fellowships and scholarships.  The AEC also offers students a common gathering space and reception area to facilitate interaction between undergraduate, graduate and international students.

Academic Resource Center (ARC)
The ARC offers services and programs that can enhance your learning, improve your skills and promote success in your courses. Our faculty and student tutors serve both undergraduate and graduate students; we offer assistance in writing, English, math, business or computers.

While tutoring for business and computers is done on a walk-in basis, appointments are strongly encouraged for math, writing and English tutoring. To make an appointment, come to the ARC or call (708) 524-6682.

International Studies
More and more students at Dominican University are taking advantage of our varied study abroad programs. As a participant in a study abroad program, you, too, will not only study, but also participate in a wide variety of cultural experiences and excursions as well as independent travel. You will return to Dominican University with a broader knowledge and understanding of the world and other peoples and also a new sense of self-reliance and independence. We hope that each of you will realize your dream of study and travel abroad through one of our programs.

You can choose from semester programs, year programs, summer programs, short term programs and service learning abroad: special topics. We offer information sessions and orientation sessions on broader study abroad topics as well as on individual programs.

The Study Abroad office is located in Parmer 010F. For additional information on any Study Abroad program call (708) 524-6965 or email sponremy@dom.edu.
