Giana Galeno '07 admitted to Global Field Program at Miami University

Giana Galeno ’07 was admitted to the Global Field Program at Miami University in summer 2020 and participated in the Earth Expeditions: Connected Conservation course.



In her Earth Expeditions: Connected Conservation course, Giana completed a Conservation Campaign project in which she and fellow graduate students created a 5-day web-based curriculum about the plight of the cheetah, which follows NGSS standards and is aimed at high schoolers with the flexibility to reach university students with more in-depth coverage on the subject matter and an increased focus on research. The curriculum is based on material from the Cheetah Conservation Fund (CCF).



Giana currently serves as the Shows Team Lead at Kansas City Zoo, a position she has held since February 2020. She previously worked at Brookfield Zoo (2015-20) and Lincoln Park Zoo (2008-15).
