Andre Lodree ’08 publishes second poetry memoir, Fear & Faith

Andre Lodree ’08 has self-published his second poetry memoir, Fear & Faith. Andre's first poetry memoir, Lost & Found, was published in 2013. 



Andre earned a bachelor's degree in theology from Dominican University in 2008. After playing semi-professional basketball with the Chicago Steam, Andre desired to give back to his community and the sport and transitioned his talents to nonprofit work and coaching.



Andre is the Founder and Executive Director of the nonprofit organization Four Point Play. The organization's mission is "to improve the lives of athletes by providing them with elite training and guidance to live a healthy and positive lifestyle in and outside of sports."



Since 2018, Andre has served as a basketball coach at Walther Christian Academy and ​Moody Bible Institute. He is currently the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Moody Bible Institute. He is also a Youth Hoops Coach and Brand Ambassador for the Chicago Bulls.



Andre's most recent project is the Faith & Sports podcast, which​ aims to dispel the idea that faith cannot exist in the world of sports. Andre and co-host Teddy Matthews discuss the deep connection between the journey of athletes and faith in God.
