Nancy Webster

Nancy L Webster is an archivist, curator and adjunct professor of archival practices. She studied at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) attended the Institut des Sciences Politiques (Sciences Po) at the Université de Provence Aix-Marseille for one year.
Currently, Webster manages historical collections at the Highland Park (Illinois) Historical Society where she established a community archives program, the Highland Park Archives and Local History Collections, with funding from the National Historic Preservation and Records Commission. She also wrote and managed state and local grants, expanding digital access via the Illinois Digital Archive and Digital Library of America, bringing together multiple agencies. Her previous archival work included the University of Michigan’s Bentley Historical Library, the Chicago History Museum and Molex Connector Corporation.
Webster participates actively in professional associations, especially the International Council on Archives and the Midwest Archives Conference. Currently, she is collaborating on video tutorials for the open source software AtoM, Access to Memory, and developing outreach exhibits and educational materials with community primary materials.
