If you enjoy puzzles, adapt well to change and have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, a major in computer science might be right for you.
Dominican offers both a major and a minor in computer science, a major in mathematics and computer science, a major and minor in computer information systems, as well as a master of science in software development.
Students here benefit from computer science–focused opportunities such as team programming competitions, excursions with faculty members to technology events and participation in the Technology Club. In addition, our well-rounded liberal arts curriculum helps students develop the critical thinking skills required to succeed in a complex and ever-changing society.
Computer science programs at Dominican prepare students for careers in many aspects of the business world. Any organization that depends on computers to generate, store, protect or retrieve information needs employees with substantial computer science training.
Dominican's program also prepares students for graduate study in computer science, business or related disciplines.
