Richard Walstra, assistant professor of accounting at Dominican University, was the recipient of the American Accounting Association’s Diversity Section Innovation in Research Award for his paper “Inclusion of Disability Within the Spectrum of Diversity and the Implications for Accounting Education,” which he co-authored with Emilia A. Chukwuma.

The paper was published in Issues in Accounting Education.

The Diversity Section Innovation in Research Award recognizes faculty members for research that advances knowledge and practices in the areas of diversity, inclusion, human equity, and social justice, according to the American Accounting Association.
