Two Dominican University graduates from the class of 2014 were recently recognized by the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry as recipients of the 2024 Regional 30 Under 40 award.

Samantha Dedic and Jazmin Lopez were presented with the award on May 22 in Countryside.

The 30 Under 40 initiative honors 30 young professionals who live or work in the near west suburbs of Chicago and have made an impact on local communities through their professions, according to the chamber of commerce.

Dedic graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. A licensed clinical social worker, she is the director of adult and young adult programming at Compass Health Center in Chicago. The center provides specialized behavioral health care through outpatient and partial hospitalization programs.

Lopez is the executive director of the Lyons Township Mental Health Commission, which funds community-based social services for residents with mental health, substance abuse and disability needs. Lopez, who received a bachelor’s degree in legal studies from Dominican, previously served as executive administrator of the Mental Health Commission.
