In the News: Dominican Named Among Destinations for Live Music in Western Suburbs

Dominican University is noted in a WBEZ feature story examining entertainment venues in the West Suburbs.

Published on Dec. 4, “New Clubs, Bigger Acts: Could the Western Suburbs be Chicago’s Next Big Music Destination?” notes that “escalating rents and property values in Chicago are driving people west to buy homes or rent, so an audience of ex-urbanites is on the rise.” 

Venues in Forest Park, Oak Park, Berwyn are highlighted, as is Dominican University.

“Dominican University in River Forest often brings in touring acts like Maria Ball, Shawn Colvin and T Bone Burnett,” the article says.
