In the News: Legal Studies Alumna Selected to Lead Suburban Mental Health Commission

Jazmin Lopez ‘14 was recently promoted to the position of executive director of the Lyons Township Mental Health Commission.

The commission funds community-based social services for residents with mental health, substance abuse and disability needs.

Lopez was previously executive administrator of the commission.

“It’s a great opportunity to do more advocacy work in all of our township,” she told Desplaines Valley News of her role. 

Lopez received her Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from Dominican University and a master’s degree in human services from Concordia University.
