Men’s Volleyball Team Volunteers with River Forest LemonAid Charity
Members of the men’s volleyball team volunteered this month for an annual River Forest fundraising event benefiting children’s charities.
The 18 players took part in LemonAid, a local tradition in River Forest that has been held annually since 2002 to mark the anniversary of 9/11 and raise awareness and money for organizations that serve children. In total, the event has raised over $500,000 for 24 local charities in the last 21 years.
School of Information Studies Recipient of 2023 Pillar Award
The Association of Illinois School Library Educators has awarded Dominican University’s School of Information Studies the 2023 Pillar Award.
The award recognizes the school for its support of the association, school libraries, and school library professionals, “as well as being a supporting, integral, upstanding member or part of the AISLE annual conference experience,” the association said.

Dr. Elizabeth Soto, activity director of Title V, Part A2 at Dominican University, has been selected to join a new leadership program from the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities.
